Cerita diawali ketika Ji Suk (Park Jin Hee) ingin mengunjungi ibunya (Kim Hae Sook)  yang diantar suami dan anaknya. Lalu dikereta Jusuk kemudian melihat keluarga yang memiliki anak. Dia kemudian menerawang ketika dia masih kecil. Inilah kisah perjalanan Jisuk bersama ibunya.

Ketika Jisuk kecil, dia sangat lancart membaca, hingga ketika di bus ayahnya dia selalu disuruh menjadi seorang turist guide. Setelah pulang ke  rumah, melewati tepian jalan dengan hamparan sawah, Jisuk disambut ibunya dengan riang gembira. Hubungan keluarga Jisuk kurang baik, ia lebih dekat dengan Ibunya.

Jisuk remaja sangat pintar. Sering Jisuk mengantar Ibunya pergi belanja. Dan disana Jisuk sering mendapati ibunya membeli makanan dengan menawar barang lebih murah. Jisuk mulai tidak tahan ketika ayah dan ibunya sering bertengkar hanya karna masalah makanan. Ia sering menangis dan mengasingkan diri untuk bertemu sahabatnya Mijeong. Ia kadang berjanji ketika besar ingin segera kuliah di Seoul dan hidup bebas, dia juga tidak ingin menikah kalau ternyata menikah hanya menyakitkan hati.

Jisuk kini sudah dewasa, suatu malam ia mendapati ibu dan ayahnya seding bertengkar. Karna ia geram, ia menyuruh ayahnya membunuh ibunya langsung bukan membunuh sedikit demi sedikit. Di sebuah gazebo, Jisuk menyuruh ibunya meninggalkan ayahnya dan pergi ke Seoul tapi ibunya tidak ingin pergi. Ia seperti ini karna ingin melindungi Jisuk, ia menyatakan bahwa hidupnya hanya ingin membuat Jisuk bahagia.

Jisuk akhirnya mendapatkan beasiswa ke Seoul. Ini kali pertama Jisuk meninggalkan keluarganya. Diperjalanan, Jisuk membaca surat dari ibunya, ia baru sadar ternyata uang yang disisikan ibunya telah dipersiapkan untuk Jisuk.

Disana, akhirnya ia jatuh cinta dengan seorang pria selama hari universitasnya. Karna perbedaan latar belakang, orangtua pria tidak setuju menikahkan anaknya. Ibunya bekerja sebagai orang tengah untuk memastikan putrinya bisa menikah manusia mimpinya, meskipun keluarga laki-laki awalnya menentang pernikahan mereka.

Setelah Ji Suk menikah dan menjadi seorang ibu sendiri, ibunya masih memperlakukan dia seperti bayi. Beberapa tahun kemudian ayahnya meninggal, Jisuk tidak ingat seberapa ia memiliki pengalaman bahagia dengan ayahnya dan seberapa dia menyayangi ayahnya.

Suatu hari Jisuk membuat kunjungan mendadak ke ibunya dan membawanya ke perjalanan untuk menonton musim gugur. Ibunya curiga karna jisuk datang berkunjung terlalu lama, ia berfikir Jisuk bertengkar dengan suaminya Junsu. Namun ketika ibunya menelepon Junsu, ia memberitahu dengan frustasi bahwa sebenarnya Jisuk sedang mengidap penyakit kanker pankreas stadium akhir.

Junsu menagis begitupun Ibu Jisuk. Ia tidak menyadari anaknya mengalami penderitaan begitu berat. Saat malam terakhir kunjungan, Ibu Jisuk menagis, ia berjanji akan melindungi Jisuk, ia meyakinkan Jisuk bahwa tidak akan ada yang memisahkan mereka dan bahwa mereka akan selalu bersama.

Di akhir kunjungan, Jisuk akhirnya meninggal. Ibunya merasa hidupnya telah berakhir. Namun ia menyakinkan Jisuk bahwa ia akan menjadi ibunya lagi kelak di kehidupan selanjutnya. Ia hanya ingin Jisuk menunggu sedikit lebih lama. Karna Ibunya hidup hanya untuknya.

So, sekarang gue bakal sharing ke kalian tips2 buat ngelupain mantan!!

Sebelomnya kita kenalin dulu.. mantan pacar lo itu udah sedekat apa ama lo.. Kalo cinta monyet sih gampang banget buat dilupain, tapi kalo pacarannya udah pake panggilan "Pipi-Mimi" sih kayaknya bakal berat. And here are some tips for you to forget the one..



1. Buang kenangan
Maksutnya begini, cara untuk ngelupain si dia, hilangin hal2 yang bakal bikin kalian inget ama dia. Buang barang2 pemberian dia, kalo nggak tega sih masukin kardus terus taroh di loteng. Misal kayak poto2 bareng dia, kado2 ultah dari dia, bunga, atau martabak sisa malem mingguan kemaren yang udah sempet lo laminating buat kenang-kenangan. Musnahkan semua!!

2. Jauhin dia
Kalo dirasa elo bakal sakit ati tiap liat dia, jauhin deh dia. Bisa dari social media, misal unfriend dia dari FB lo,UnFollow Dia di Twitter, hapus kontak BBM dia. Karna , ntar kalo ampe lo liat dia upload poto bareng pacar barunya, gue jamin elo bakal nancepin infus baygon ke tangan lo sendiri.

Tapi kalo misal kalian satu sekolah, ya diusahain buat pindah sekolah biar gak sering2 ketemu dia. Soalnya kalo kalian sering ketemu si dia dan kalian jadi galau karena inget ama masalah percintaan kalian, kalian nggak bakal konsen belajar. Dijamin nilai drop deh #MikirKeras hahaha!!

3. Jauhin Unyu Area
Nah, ini masih ada hubungannya ama point nomer 1. Kalo elo masih suka kebayang2 wajah dia, atau moment2 jaman kalian seneng bareng dulu, dan tentu itu bisa bikin kalian nangis di bawah dispenser, so jangan maen ke tempat2 yang dulu suka kalian pake buat pacaran. Misal Bioskop, mall, Kantin Sekolahan atau ruang tamu. karena tempat2 itu bakal ngingetin kalian kepada unyu2 moment kalian dulu bersama sang mantan. Mending sering2 maen ke Mushola deh buat Dzikir..

5. Banyakin Nongkrong
Nongkrong bareng temen2 terbukti bisa bikin kita hanyut dalam suasana fun. Karena kalo nongkrong bareng temen2 deket itu suasanyanya bakal gokil banget. Dengan begitu, kalian juga bakal cepet lupa ama sakitnya patah hati. So, usahain kalo nongkrong jangan sendirian aja. Karna kalo elo nongkrong sendirian di cafe remang2 dengan keadaan galau, ujung2nya elo bakal disamperin sama om2 genit -__- hahahaha

6. ilfeelisasi
Cari cara biar lo cepet ilfeel ama mantan. Inget hal2 yang nggak oke dari dia. Inget2 hobby menyimpang dia. Misal suka ngupil sambil mainin hape touch-screen, dan upilnya nempel di layarnya, gara2 digeser pake jempol, upilnya nempel melebar di seluruh layar hape.. terus karena susah dibersihin, dia buang upilnya pake acara jilat2 layar hape yang udah kena upil tadi..

Atau inget seberapa bau kentut dia, bayangin isi perut dia, bayangin sarapan apa dia.. Bayangin gimana ekspresi pantat dia pas ngeluarin kentut dengan suara nge-Bass gitu.. Kalo ampe elo bisa muntah dengan nginget2 hal itu, artinya elo udah sukses ilfeel ama dia. Sehingga elo bakal trauma buat nginget2 dia lagi..

7. Buka Hati
Ini tips agak waras. Gini.. Mantan tuh adalah bagian dari masa lalu. Dan itu artinya dia hanya "media" buat membentuk lo jadi karakter yang lebih baik. Mungkin yang dulunya lo kekanak-kanakan, setelah diputusin mantan lo, elo bisa jadi orang yang lebih dewasa. Mungkin yang dulunya elo suka ngupil di depan pacar, setelah diputusin ama mantan, elo bakal jadi suka ngupil di belakang pacar. Intinya, elo bakal berubah jadi pribadi yang lebih oke. So, biarin yang berlalu, mengalir dan pergi. Sekarang waktunya untuk membuka hati dan berharap agar bisa dapet orang yang lebih baik yang bisa membangun elo jadi pribadi yang lebih baik lagi.

   " the power of love" demikian kecintaan sang ayah, segala upaya dilakukan untuk membahagiakan sosok yang begitu dikaguminya itu.
Semua berawal ketika ikal menemukan foto ditempat tersembunyi dirumahnya , foto itu tampaj sosok pria sedang menggengam tropi . Ika sangat penasaran dengan foto tersebut, berhari - hari ia diselimuti oleh rasa penasaran ,siapa sosok lelaki itu? Ketika ikal mengetahui siapa lelaki yang memegang tropi disana. Iya tak dapat berkata-kata saat mendengar cerita pilu tentang kisah hidup lelaki tersebut . Hanya dendam membara dirasakan untuk mengembalikan semua kebahagian yang telah

      Ikal yang awalnya tidak menggilai bola, menjadi begitu tergila-gila, bahkan hampir benar-benar gila. Ia berlatih sepakbola secara rutin demi bisa bergabung dengan PSSI, klub yang sangat dikagumi ayahnya. Berkat kegigihannya itu, seleksi semi seleksi berhasil dilaluinya. Hanya saja ketika tinggal selangkah lagi untuk menggapai impiannya itu, semua harus berakhir dengan kekecewaan yang mendalam. Tuhan belum mengizinkannya untuk bergabung dengan PSSI. Namun pada saat-saat tersulit itu, kata-kata sang Ayah menggetarkan hatinya : “ Prestasi tertinggi seseorang, medali emasnya, adalah jiwa besarnya “.
Begitu besar kecintaan yang ditunjukkan Ikal terhadap "sang ayah " dalam novel ini."Tak satu jalan ke Roma. "Kira-kira dengan ungkapan itulah ia berkelana ke Benua Eropa untuk bertemu dengan Klub Sepakbola kedua yang digemari "sang ayah"setelah PSSI, yakni "Real Madrid", yang kemudian menjadi Klub Favoritnya juga. Bekal hidup sehari-hari yang tidak memadai membuat Ikal harus bekerja keras di negeri orang. Siang hari menjadi tukang cat dan angkat perabot. Sedangkan pada malam hari ia menjadi asisten pembantu dari pembantu pelatih utama (General Assistant, nama kerennya, kacung kenyataannya), yang bertugas mengambil bola dan mengumpulkan kaus para pemain bola. Namun demi bisa mengumpulkan uang untuk membeli kaus "Luis Figo" dan  melihat Klub Junior "Barca" berlatih, semua itu masih terasa ringan untuknya. Pada akhirnya, nasib baik pun tak betah menjauh dari Ikal. Ia mendapatkan apa yang diinginkannya, bahkan lebih dari apa yang ia bayangkan.

Novel ini tak hanya menceritakan tentang kecintaan Ikal terhadap Sang ayah, namun juga terhadap Tanah Air kita sendiri, Indonesia. Betapapun banyak klub-klub sepakbola yang berkompeten di luar sana, ia tetap menempatkan PSSI pada urutan pertama di hatinya. Kekuatan tekad untuk memperbaiki nasib buruk bangsa kita, dan kebanggaannya bernaung di bawah negara yang padanya para pahlawan kita rela menumpahkan darah, seharusnya dapat menjadi suatu fokus yang harus kita perhitungkan, yang tidak hanya sekedar dibaca.
